Crystal (Bentley Remix) (5:16)
Performed by Nemesis
This mix was simply done to satisfy my own creative urges and not really for anything else and definitely not to replace the hard work that went into making the original cover.

Elegia (6:25)
Performed by Electrodiesel
New Order's instrumental tracks don't always work for me but at the same time I didn't feel comfortable a track with vocals. Elegia of course is one of the great instrumental tracks by New Order and it just felt right for me. My version sounds pretty much like the original but with my touched added... although I have speeded it up a bit and if you listen to the original afterwards it does sound quite different.

Angel Dust (Diabolique Version) (4:32)
Performed by almanso
This is the first ever remix done by Spotnick, the webmaster of NewOrderOnline. Done for the Community EP remix contest, I tried to do a different take without any additional production, and I'm quite pleased with the result.

Elegia (3:54)
Performed by CTB
I chose Elegia primarily because I can't sing (!), but also because it's one of their more haunting instrumental tunes. And it's 3/4 time, which is quite unusual and a bit of a challenge.

These Days (3:24)
Performed by kREMLIN
Pre-dates the UK Manchester baggy period by many years. A great pop song with great hooks. I wanted to see if a more electronic style would suit, so I brought the bass riff to the fore.

Twisted Tenderness (4:37)
Performed by Laura Van Dam
I chose it because, being a soprano, its difficult to reach Bernard's low tone! And most important, because this song mean a lot to me because they remind me of someone I loved very much

Everyone Everywhere (4:13)
Performed by almanso
It's one of the more complex New Order song in terms of harmony, I thought it had potential though I think the original recording could've been much better. I tried with a different beat.

Face Up (3:17)
Performed by Avenpitch
It's a great pop song and it's rarely mentioned (even amongst New Order fans!)

This Time of Night (5:05)
Performed by Black Stars
No one's ever covered it before, and it's an overlooked classic that seemed like a good fit for us. It's close to perfect as is, we thought it could use some more guitars to give it a bit of that climatic trainwreck ending that is a New Order trademark.

Hurt (4:17)
Performed by Boy Sleuth
When I first bought Substance, Hurt was the song that really stood out on CD2. It's only 2 chords but still is a really exciting song.I've tried to make this version as exciting.

Transmission (4:52)
Performed by Captain Black
I think the original is superb so there was no point in recreating it. So I decided to attempt a dub version, as the way JD/Hannett pushed drums and bass to the front was possibly influenced by this (see also their dub experiments on John Peel sessions)

Paradise (3:52)
Performed by Eletroradiobras
It's one of the best songs New Order ever did and one of the most underrated too, we just want to make it justice. Being so rich musically, it gave us the possibility of creating and experimenting by adding our personal touch.

Temptation (4:55)
Performed by Manumatic
One of my two favorite New Order song, even song of all time. It's absolutely perfect and can put me in a great mood no matter how bad my day has been.

Love Will Tear Us Apart (3:58)
Performed by Project Wintermute
Probably the better known Joy Division song, and the most driving and memorable bassline in the history of mankind.

Temptation (5:07)
Performed by Project Wintermute
Dark, moody and danceable... the lyrics really strike close to home... about those days when beauty has tempted you and you found your soul walking back home, my favorite New Order song of all time.

True Faith (4:14)
Performed by Slightlynarrow SoundSystem
Of all New Order songs, this is the one that, for me, stands up on its own two feet as a SONG. I wanted to do it as basic as possible. I got Keith to do it on piano, I just went with the first takeof piano and about the 3rd (or 4th) for vocals and left it at that.

Ecstasy (Hooky's Beepin' Loveline Mix) (3:57)
Performed by The Lost Viking
Because good instrumentals always rock (and I can't sing!). Plus it gave me a chance to mess up with Hooky's bass

The Eternal (Instrumental) (4:17)
Performed by Versificator
The original version is one of the most beautiful (albeit depressing) song ever created by Joy Division. I tried to meet the album version and the live versions pathway in between for my cover. I wasn't all that successful, but at least I came up with something. Unfortunately, it's only an instrumental version; or rather, fortunately, since I can't sing anyway and wouldn't trust anyone else doing it
