Fine Time

You're much too young
To be a part of me
Too young
To get a hold on me

You're much too young
You're much too young
You're much too young
To mess around with me

Baby, you know I've made a lot of cool chicks,
But I haven't met a girl with all her own teeth
That's why I love you baby
That's why we could be
But you're too young, too young

The past doesn't matter, The past doesn't matter
The past doesn't matter, The past doesn't matter
The past doesn't matter, The past doesn't matter
The past doesn't matter, The past doesn't matter
The past doesn't matter, The past doesn't matter
The past doesn't matter, The past doesn't matter

Hey baby, sophisticated lady,
You know I met a lot of cool chicks,
But you've got style, you got class
But most of all, you got love technique

Notes

Working Title: The Balearic One / Much Too Young

Steve Morris: "Fine Time is another one that's synonymous with Christmas with me. When we did the video for it, it's got a present and a Christmas tree and it's garanteed to get shown at least once a year"

Bernard Sumner: "We wrote it in Ibiza after a night out at Amnesia. We decided to do a Donna Summer type erotic vocal. And the next day it got laughed out of the studio because it didn't sound erotic at all, it sounded like I was stuck on the toilet with constipation. I think the vocal might be on that Steve Silk Hurley mix..."

Steve Morris: "We finished the record off in Bath, and the reason why it's called Fine Time was because my car had been towed away and I had to remind myself to go and pay the fine. I just wrote "Fine Time" on this piece of paper to remind myself to go get it and thought, that's a good title."
