hi friends first I LOVE ELECTRONIC
for me the best albums were
electronic (5/5)
raise the pressure (4/5)
disappointed (5/5) (i know this is an ep)
twisted tenderness 1/5)

5 means the best
i hope you can recommend me a similar album like the first from electronic, i adore the way they mixed the guitars and the synths
if was possible recommended any song similar to disappointed
i hope the electronic work continued and they can produce so beautiful and uplifting albums like the first in my list
MANY THANKS FOR YOUR REPLIES
i'll read all your comments
a salute from Peru

Have to say I disagree on albums 2 and 3 - RTP is a long yawn-fest while TT kicks some serious butt. The first half does anyway, then it gets a bit tired.
Anyway, I always thought 'The End Of The World' from Pet Shop Boys' 'Behaviour' had a very 1st-Lec-album sound to it. You might also enjoy their Violence - Hacienda mix, but God knows where you'll find it these days.

That's a good question, Julio. The first Electronic album is almost "one of a kind" in a sense. The perfect blend of the best parts of both The Smiths and New Order (and a little Pet Shop Boys) I can't say there is anything quite else quite like it.

If anything, I would say New Order's "Technique" comes the closest to sounding like that album.

I also would highly recommend Thomas Dolby's "Flat Earth" No as dancy, but still a beautiful mixture of guitars and synth

Pet Shop Boys - VERY, this a classic album with great electronic beats and synths on it, if you dont have it get it, you can sample tracks from the album here.

www.amazon.com/Very-Pet-Shop-Boys/dp/B000SX8AKQ/ref=sr_1_4_digr?ie=UTF8&qid=1300208552&sr=8-4

and by the way the first ELECTRONIC album is a classic, there is no way that they can make an album like that again, even after all these years it still sounds incredible.

The album most compared to Electronic is Propaganda's A Secret Wish, even though the latter is several years earlier (though technically more modern in some respects).

The joke in the 90's was that three Electronice albums should of been called Electronic, Slightly Electronic and Not Electronic atall. The band will always be a curio as they never really sounded how they were originally intended (i.e white label dance tracks) and progressively moved further away from their intended goal.

When Lil Louis' French Kiss was promoed as an anonomous white label, some music journalists though it was Electronic, as their first album was meant to be of that ilk. It wasn't!

Are you serious? A Secret Wish sounds NOTHING like Electronic!!!!!!!

The only things they have in common is a fairlight synth somewhere (and the fact that Soviet is a portentous sounding instrumental full of pomp and majesty).

A Secret Wish is probably the best album on ZTT records ever though.....
