Have to say I disagree on albums 2 and 3 - RTP is a long yawn-fest while TT kicks some serious butt. The first half does anyway, then it gets a bit tired. Anyway, I always thought 'The End Of The World' from Pet Shop Boys' 'Behaviour' had a very 1st-Lec-album sound to it. You might also enjoy their Violence - Hacienda mix, but God knows where you'll find it these days.

That's a good question, Julio. The first Electronic album is almost "one of a kind" in a sense. The perfect blend of the best parts of both The Smiths and New Order (and a little Pet Shop Boys) I can't say there is anything quite else quite like it.
If anything, I would say New Order's "Technique" comes the closest to sounding like that album.
I also would highly recommend Thomas Dolby's "Flat Earth" No as dancy, but still a beautiful mixture of guitars and synth

The two most similar albums to the first Electronic one? Technique and The Queen Is Dead. There. Sorted.
