I have noticed whilst looking at the setlists for the Get Ready tour that Your Silent Face is listed as 'KW1' does anyone know why this is, not really important but just wondering, cheers.

Nice one for that, that's one thing I didn't know about the band (there's probably a lot of other stuff I don't know as well which is bad as seen as I''m a huge fan)

Some cassete versions of "Power, Corruption and Lies" even credited this track as KW1...

It really breaks down to "KraftWerk # 1", meaning that being the first Kraftwerk ripoff they had written that week.

And not only early cassettes, but vinyl as well.

KW1 was the original name for the track before New Order decided to go with the even more confusing "Your Silent Face".

Ok so I was listening to one of the live concerts
"rothskilde?" (clearly not sure of the spelling here)
and I just loved Barney on the intro....

"Its a very Bavarian song....

Thinks of mountains....

Skiing.....

Naked Saunas....."

This was just classic

Cologne Mungersdorfer Stadium 2001, supporting Gobby Williams. An all-time Barney classic, that one !!

One of my best live song intro's is from Hultsfred 2002 before Bizarre Love Triangle, Barney says the song is about when Hooky met Phil in prison & they were sharing a cell with 'Big Daddy'. The intro to True Faith is probably the best one i've heard though, Barney goes on about the pissing rain that the fans have had to put up with, then he says about watching porno films there in Sweden and they like to piss on each other, absolute classic! I'm glad Barney actually has a laugh on stage about stuff coz usually he's having a go at hooky which does my head in a bit. Its as though they still don't get on sometimes, especially on the Finsbury Park DVD.

By the way, check out soulseek (slks.org) if you want loads of JD/NO live concert downloads, most of you probably already know about it anyway.

I know this is an old topic and I'm not bumping it to piss anyone off (found it while Googling trying to remember what KW1 stood for). Then saw that part I just quoted... the cracks were showing fairly early on!
