Van Persie deserved a kick to the face for the challenge he put in. Both should have gone for that incident. As for Adebayor and the celebration, running up to the Arsenal fans, I would have condoned one of the fans running on the pitch and hitting him across the head with one of the photographer's chairs Yes

Toolbox/Diamond/Whatever you are now....I have to admit. I WANT Man City to do well (and its nothing to do with Lescott being in my fantasy team).

I really hope they (or spurs) can break into the top 4 for the good of the game. They have bought very well but what Adebayal(?) did at the weekend was atrosious. They cant afford to lose him with Santa and Tevez also out.

I was anti-man city at start of the season but ive become rational since.

3-0 to Arsenal last night, second tine we've beat them this year. Still only one game lost (away to Utd).

Worst season in years.

You draw too many games and keep losing leads. Adebeyer has forgotten where the net is. Still conceding silly goals.

Liverpool only lost 2 games last year and we all know what happened to them.

Good to see you win your first game in 8 last night. Good to see you put your best players out for the carling cup. first semi in 40 years. Go for it!

I'm not a Man City fan Yes
Personally I don't see one defeat this season (so far), and reaching a cup semi final as rubbish. Especially as Man City haven't reached one for 28 years.

Maybe if Arsenal field a strong team then they might win something. Isn't it 4 years trophyless now?

yeah Arsenal need to end that Barren spell. But they got little in the way of attack with Van out.

Well done Man City. Youre fast making me eat my words. Big big result and top 4 place is up for grabs with Liverpool being piss poor.

i dont think its such a shame because hughes left us at rovers to go to a more money filled green lands as most our top people do.he should have waited for the united job!!! .now he's an unemployed manager.not like losing a job at a shut down steel works though is it ?
maybe 5 million pay off.weep for him not maybe !!
having said that i still like hughes and he did good for us at blackburn.hughesy hughesy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
new city appointment isnt very amazing though.really thought with endless amounts of money that they would have got ' the chosen one '..it should have been him because give him the money and they would be in top 2 next year for sure.also he's the only fella that can mess with fergie's mind Evil laugh

There's a fair bit of dismay at this sacking, and I'm sure a fair bit of it is due to the fact that nobody wants a return to the revolving doors days. In fact, Managers at City probably get a few more months than they should because of this fact.

Hughes was always gonna be a caretaker. I reckon the new owners have been working on a replacement ever since they arrived.

I take it all back. The idiots who own Man City dont have a bleedin clue. why give the man £200m to spend in the summer and bin him after taking the club to one game away from a final and a chance of breaking the top 4? And didnt Man City beat Sunderland yesterday?no no

The game yesterday was a shambles. Sunderland, like everyone else we've played recently, had the run of the midfield and our defence were hopeless. The only thing that saved us was massive talent up front, with four amazing goals scored. All the games we've drawn recently have been high-scoring against clubs with poor scoring records elsewhere.

The statement from the club was very clear - there is no evidence that this situation will change. Hughes had run out of ideas. His answer, simply to return to the market and buy more defenders, was crap and that's why he got sacked.
