I think I've commented enough Nic. Cheers for adding it. I would just like to say a big thanks to Pottsy and Paul for being so cool with their emails and responses. Two really lovely guys. What a privilege to have them around! Beer

David Potts - 'Monkey In The Rain'
Maximum Records, 2007

The single, 'Monkey In The Rain' wasn't released at the time of writing, still isn't.

Thought I'd tell you a bit about it though.

It's got a really cool 'off-beat' rhythm, starting with acoustic guitar. It's an up-beat, summery single that, if pushed into the public eye would easily make Top 10. Imagine Barney fronting The Beatles, performing a song written by Ray Davies of The Kinks. Got the mental image? Almost sounds like some of the 1950s skiffle, but so much better.
It has a really lovely, jaunty melody and a very happy vibe to it.
Only bad thing I can think of is that it mentions monkeys frown

Give it a listen on Pottsy's MySpace page - available to buy soon.
