i chose Flight - Strange Little Girl, i just love that song! but i must say there were top tunes on this CD. a lot of talent there. special mentions to:

I love just about everything on that compilation...

Best commercial potential is What Can I Say from O'ou though... properly released, this would climb the charts.

Actually like 'False' enough to rip it onto my mp3 player compilation. Lovely vocals, and while its musically very New-Orderesque (the bass sounds like its going to turn into What Do You Want From Me while the guitar bits remind me of state of the nation) its top notch faux-new order. Paired with their version of Turn and a remix or two it'd make a nice single.

Also really like the Labster track following it, confirming my prejudice that non-english speaking vocalists usually sound way better singing in their own language.

Most of the rest isn't at all bad. In fact I think I prefer the original cd to C2 itself.

yeah, we´re working on several own songs. unfortunately a LOT has been going on for both Sophia and me on the last year and we didn´t have time to finish them. but we do want to catch up and record a proper album. i´m looking forward to do it fast since i´m really happy with how the songs are sounding. don´t worry, we´ll keep you guys posted

If you produce an album of the same quality as those 2 tracks, I'd certainly buy it (well, if it were to be available without paying a fortune on international postage or something!)

i really hope we´ll be able to meet the challenge and your expectations! i really like the result so far so i´m confident we will. besides Bentley should be in charge of the production once more so that´s a garanty it will be sound great. so the pressure´s on our ability of making songs really!

and as for the album, i´m sure we´ll have copies in Argentina and Greece for a start, and maybe somewhere in north america as well. that could give us the chance to reach many places with minimum shipping... but we´ll see once it gets done!

Better late than dead (and better dead than smeg), but I only found the time to listen to that album in its entirety this past summer. Ever since, the track "Nearly There" has become one of the most played songs for me.

I did a little search online but couldn't find anything about Generalized.

I also really like Stange Little Girl and World Class.

In any case, the quality of this CD was a complete surprise to me. So it's more than a year and a half later that I come here to post my thanks.

yep. I still play community2 and the bonus disc alot. In fact although I think the Glasnost False song is my favourite there are many other superb efforts. Tell Me Again, Beautiful View From The Prison Tower, Strange Little Girl, Deer and the Driver, and the 2nd track. All brilliant.

I wonder if these artists/bands are still together/recording? Id love to hear more.

well, as far as Glasnost we've been writing a lot of songs. we even played live again in 2008, when i was in Greece on my honeymoon. unfortunately Sophia couldn't find spare time to fully record her vocal tracks. so basically the band is in the freezer right now. i was thinking about releasing the songs under "almanso" with me singing. but i just don't know, since Sophia is so much better singer than me and the songs sound perfect on her voice. a shame really. and when i was starting to transpose the tracks to my vocal range my father got really sick and died, and he also left with some big financial issues. so i've been basically 2 or 3 months in a crazy race against time. and i still am, mind! so that means those songs came back to the fridge for now. who knows, maybe my luck will change and the album will be released. i'll let you know. btw, thanks for choosing our song as the best. cheers!

Sorry to hear your sad news almonso. Puts everything in perspective for sure. Im sure your get there in the end. I had a death in close family a couple of years back and it was very, very hard to deal with. but over time the pain does slowly ease.

The Sophia girl has an amazing voice. I just loved everything about that song. The vocals, the keyboards, the guitar/bass solo, the lyrics. But the vocals really made the track stand out for me. Maybe you could persuade her in the future, when she's not so busy.

Good luck with the album. Im hoping to have something by the end of the year myself. More for self gratification than anything. Im not a very good singer by get but musically.

well, for me what makes a good song an excellent one is the singer. and Sophia is the best singer i worked with or heard live for that matter. that's why it is so hard for me to do it myself. because i know i'm not that good. you know, i'm a musician and i like to hear good instruments and good vocals. and i know i can´t provide the second as good as i'd want to hear it. it's like a bad driver with a great car or viceversa. somehow you know you're losing your chances. but the other answer would mean to keep waiting for her and god knows i waited too long!
