O'Connell Room, Cork, Ireland (1986)

I was at this gig.
The correct name of the venue is Connolly Hall (it's still in use).

It's too long ago for me to confirm the set list but I know for certain (from hearing the bootleg years ago) that they played a song on there that subsequently never made it to any record that I have found.

Gig was notable for an interchange between Hooky and the audience. Crowd were all calling for Joy Division songs by name and one particularly loud guy was screaming for Shadowplay as far as I can recall. NO were pissed off and eventually Hooky went to the mike and said very precisely: "Shut up you thick, Irish, working class bastard".

Gig was also notable for heavy security outside trying to stop bootleggers.

I think the support was The Stockholm Monsters.
