Aragon Ballroom, Chicago, IL, United States of America (2005)

New Order live in Chicago 3May05

After viewing New Order's video at Reading, I didn't expect much of a show by this once great band. I have been pleasantly suprised, they are still good. Barney was much more "together" with the group and I didn't noticed him singing off the teleprompter. Mr. Hook is a great show-man! And Stephen pounds the daylights out of those drums. So much for thinking "Here are the Old Men"! They did a wonderful job with the Joy Division material "Transmission", "Atmosphere" and "LWTUA". They also did a good job of covering 25 years of New Order. "Love Vigilantes","Regret", "Crystal" and the standards"BLT", "True Faith", "Blue Monday" and a few suprises "Your Silent Face" and "Run Wild". Overall, a great show and a great crowd.
