60 Miles An Hour (2001)

Once the most enigmatic and otherworldly band in pop, the main mystery about New Order now centres around how Stephen managed to end up being the coolest. On '60 Miles An Hour', another track from their woefully disappointing comeback album 'Get Ready' (for what?), New Order just blunder around in the foothills where once they'd have soared to the peaks. They had it, they lost it, they ain't never gonna get it back. That the artwork is as beautiful as ever is more of a goad than a consolation.
