The State, Liverpool, England, United Kingdom (1983)

The State First Night

The support for the night were I beleive at that point a four peice James who were still on Factory at this early stage of their lives. Around this tour Hooky was sporting his semi-acoustic hollow bass and the song that left the biggest impression on me was Age of Consent, First time I heard it and straight away you knew it was a classic. Those fun loving scousers were getting a bit mouthy and one of the Band referred to their famous scouse wit, probably Bernard! Next time I saw them I was living in Scotland and saw them at the Barra's now there is a Story and there is a Venue!!!
